Explore new opportunities in Rome
AWEX, in collaboration with Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) and the Embassy of Belgium in Rome, is organising the business mission “Exploring Opportunities with FAO, WFP and IFAD” in Rome on December 1st and 2nd, 2026.
The mission is mainly aimed at Belgian companies offering innovative products and services in agritech, logistics, energy, ICT, R&D, consulting, infrastructure, agri-food, forestry, fisheries and related sectors.
Participating companies will have the opportunity to better understand how FAO, the World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) operate, identify potential collaboration opportunities and present their solutions directly to representatives of these three United Nations organisations.
The programme will include:
- a seminar on collaboration opportunities with the United Nations;
- an introduction to the procurement procedures of FAO, WFP and IFAD;
- a workshop on registering with the United Nations Global Marketplace;
- a Q&A session;
- individual meetings with the participating agencies;
- visits to FAO, WFP and/or IFAD, subject to confirmation;
- a dinner at the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium.
AWEX will share the Company Profiles of interested companies with the three organisations. FAO, WFP and IFAD will then select the companies they wish to meet during the mission.
Registration is open until October 2nd, 2026, subject to selection by the participating organisations.
