Are you developing a technology product with a working proof of concept? Applications for the imec.istart Belgium Autumn 2026 call are now open.
The program supports ambitious tech startups looking to structure their development, accelerate their journey to market and prepare for their next growth and funding milestones.
€100,000 in pre-seed funding
Each selected startup receives €100,000 in pre-seed funding through a convertible loan. The investment includes all coaching, expertise and program support.
Support tailored to your startup
You will work closely with a dedicated Venture Acceleration Manager and gain access to workshops, individual follow-up tracks and experienced industry experts. The program helps you strengthen your product, commercial strategy, team and investor readiness.
Connections that move your startup forward
Selected startups gain access to imec’s technology expertise, specialists and facilities, together with an extensive network of companies, international partners and investors. They can also present their business to more than 100 investors during imec.istart’s biannual Investors Day.
A community that extends beyond the program
Joining imec.istart also means becoming part of a community of more than 300 tech startups and entrepreneurs. The program provides free shared office space, tailored software and service deals, support with talent and team development, and an international network to explore new markets.
Who can apply?
Your startup must be developing a technology product, whether software or hardware, deeptech or non-deeptech, have a working proof of concept, a complementary founding team and headquarters in Belgium.

An online information session will take place on 8 September 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM CEST. Register even if you cannot attend live and the recording will be sent to you : Registration
The imec.istart team will also meet startups at La Grand Poste in Liège on September 16th, from 2 to 5:00 PM. No registration is required for these open office hours.
Applications close on 30 September 2026 at midnight. Check your eligibility and submit your application.
