Chift raises €10.5 million to accelerate its European expansion
European financial software needs to work together and Chift aims to make that connection as simple as a single integration. The Brussels-based fintech, co-founded by Gauthier Henroz, Henry Hertoghe and Matthieu Hertoghe, has raised €10.5 million in Series A funding to scale its platform and expand across Europe.
Chift provides a unified API that enables software companies to connect their products to more than 120 financial systems across six categories: accounting, invoicing, point-of-sale, e-commerce, payments and property management. This allows companies to avoid building and maintaining separate integrations for every tool and market.
The platform addresses a major challenge for European businesses: fragmented financial systems. As artificial intelligence gains momentum and e-invoicing becomes increasingly widespread, software products need reliable access to financial data stored across a growing number of platforms.
“AI and e-invoicing are rebuilding the entire financial software market. Interoperability is becoming the defining problem of European SMB finance. That is exactly why we build the infrastructure that connects it all,” says Gauthier Henroz, co-founder and CEO of Chift.
The round was led by BlackFin Capital Partners, with participation from existing investors Entourage, Shapers, Seeder Fund and Wallonie Entreprendre. The funding will support Chift’s expansion into additional European markets, strengthen its AI capabilities and connect more products that rely on financial data.
The startup also plans to develop integrations requiring less manual configuration. It is another step towards a more connected and accessible European financial infrastructure, designed for the evolving needs of businesses and AI-powered solutions.
