Applications are now open for the inaugural Mastercard Lighthouse Belgium cohort
Mastercard has officially launched Mastercard Lighthouse Belgium, a new three-month engagement programme designed to help Belgium’s most promising startups and scale-ups unlock their next stage of growth.
Built for mature startups with a commercially available solution, the programme connects founders with Mastercard experts, strategic partners and an international innovation network to accelerate business development and create long-term growth opportunities.
Selected startups will benefit from:
- direct access to financial institutions, corporate partners, investors and fellow entrepreneurs;
- tailored mentoring from Mastercard experts and external industry specialists;
- opportunities to develop pilot projects, commercial partnerships and strategic collaborations;
- increased visibility among executives, investors and key decision-makers across the Lighthouse network;
- workshops covering funding, regulation, partnerships and innovation;
- access to Mastercard’s global initiatives, including Start Path and Mastercard For Fintechs, as well as the international Lighthouse community.
The programme is open to startups that:
- are registered and operating in Belgium;
- already offer a commercially available product or service;
- have a dedicated and structured team;
- have successfully raised early-stage or late-seed funding.
Mastercard particularly welcomes applications from companies active in fintech, cybersecurity, SME solutions, blockchain and digital assets, data and AI, and MarTech, while remaining open to innovative businesses from related sectors.
With its European headquarters based in Waterloo and existing collaborations with leading Belgian innovators such as Odoo, Mastercard aims to build a strong first Belgian cohort representing the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
