MicroStart hits 500 entrepreneurs and sets sights on scaling up

Doubling impact for inclusive finance in Belgium

MicroStart has reached a milestone of 538 supported entrepreneurs, with a total amount close to €5M, highlighting the strength of its microfinance model in Belgium. The organization focuses on founders who are often excluded from traditional banking systems, offering both microloans and tailored coaching to help launch and grow businesses.

Building on this achievement, MicroStart is now aiming to double its impact in the coming years. This ambition is driven by increasing demand for alternative financing solutions, particularly among early-stage entrepreneurs and underrepresented groups.

By providing access to small-scale funding (on average €10K) and hands-on support, MicroStart plays a key role in strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Its approach not only enables business creation but also promotes broader social and economic inclusion.

With this growth target, MicroStart plans to expand its reach and enhance its support programs to empower even more entrepreneurs.
