Odix reaches a major milestone with its first hospital deployment
Liège-based startup Odix Medical has reached an important milestone by signing its first commercial agreement with the Citadelle Hospital in Liège. The partnership marks the commercial launch of an innovative medical technology designed to improve the treatment of chronic lower back pain.
Founded by Francis Frankenne, Valérie Gordenne and Xavier Delcorps, Odix Medical has developed a medical platform capable of mobilising the entire spine, with a particular focus on the lower back. The solution aims to offer physiotherapists and rehabilitation centres a new approach to treating one of the world’s leading causes of disability.
Before entering the market in early 2026, the technology was evaluated through an initial clinical study involving 50 patients. The results showed improvements in 65% of patients treated with the Odix platform, compared with 40% following conventional rehabilitation protocols, highlighting the potential of the solution.
To accelerate its growth, Odix Medical raised €2.4 million in March 2026. The company now aims to deploy around twenty systems in Belgium this year before expanding into France, the United Kingdom and, ultimately, the United States from 2027 onwards.
Odix Medical’s progress once again demonstrates the strength of Wallonia’s medtech ecosystem and the region’s ability to develop innovative healthcare solutions with international growth potential.
